A.P. Co-op Oilseeds Growers Federation Limited is registered under APCA 1964 during 1980 and started functioning from 1983 onwards. The main objectives of the Federation are:

• Production enhancement of oilseeds in the state by giving remunerative price to the farming community under 2 tier structure of cooperatives.
• Arranging the processing facilities to get remunerative prices to oil seeds growers in the state
• Arranging the required inputs and technical guidance for increasing the productivity in oil seeds.
• Arranging the Edible Oils to the consumers with reasonable prices

Meanwhile keeping in view of requirement of edible oils and restrict the imports of edible oils the Oil Palm was introduced in the country and the activity was entrusted to APOILFED in the state during the year 1988-89 as no private entrepreneur came forward to take up the activity

At present, after formation of Telangana State, the APOILFED also demerged the activities of the Telangana Co-Op Oilseeds Growers Federation

1. Oil Palm Development:
   • Import of Germinated Oil Palm Sprouts, Establishment & raising of Nurseries, Seedlings distribution to farmers under Govt subsidy scheme, Establishment & Processing of Oil Palm Fresh Fruit Bunches
   • OILFED is undertaking oil palm area expansion in 8 Districts of Telangana.
2. Marketing Activities
   • Bulk & consumer marketing activities throughout the year
3. Procurement & Inputs Activities
   • Seasonal Activities of Seed Distribution to Farmers & Procurement of oilseeds crop from Farmers under MSP as and whendirected by the Government

The TGOILFED registered on 30.07.2015 vide registration No; TAB.322 under APCS Act 1964 (Adopted Telangana State). TGOILFED is having paid up Share capital of Rs. 184.40 Lakhs
